Gundam feet?My guess was always that Todd had no idea what the word meant, just that is sounded foreign and exotic and people were getting into these newfangled Japanesey "Mangas" so he called some Japanese inspired figures that, not really knowing what it meant.
That, or he simply confused the words "Manga" and "Mecha" early on, because all of the figures in the Manga waves looked like robots, so Mecha would be far more fitting. Though, later on he did make some waves that were robot inspired and did called them Robot Wars, that looked like upgraded/updated versions of some of the Manga figures, though I'm not sure if these figures actually ever even released.
