Today the original concept of Baroness doesn't really hold up, even though you can kind of see it in modern SJWs. But those SJWs aren't armed and aren't in the business of actual terrorism like those in their parents generation once were.
Fact of the matter is that a lot of the GI Joe stuff has gotten old and isn't relevant anymore, beyond the basic guns and shooting bad guys things. Something new would have to be created.
