The flaw was how both the LG and TR version was painted, they didn't frame it right and the colors were to bright leaving him with that deer in headlight look. I'm not sure what else could have been done to the head to keep the TM gimmick to work and look correct. All the heads are rather force to stay to a certain size so the only other helmet option would have been a narrower face/no flaps on the helmet.
