>>9611005I liked the 2015 Toa a lot, the way they combined the classic gear function with the poseability and flexibility of CCBS, my only problem is the lack of new pieces, and CCBS was getting kinda old by then, the same problem G1 had with the Inika build in the last few years. I thought the protectors were fun too but nothing that special, I only got the brown one. Some of the skellies were bad, some were okay. But in 2016 all the sets were really ugly with horrible choices of color and weird proportions, also with no unique weapon pieces.
Overall I think CCBS had more potential than the Bionicle/Inika build, the pieces were less limited and more compatible with technic and even system parts, so you could make more complex builds. At least if you don't limit yourself to the basic bone pieces and use the hollow ball and the hordika/glatorian "neck" pieces with or instead of them. I quess the biggest problem with CCBS was the lack of variety in shell pieces.
Also I'm very curious and excited to see where this new system based version of constraction/CCBS is going. I guess the pieces that already came out aren't that big of a deal on their own, but I think the system and technic pieces that came out in the last like 5-10 years also give even more potential to people who build Bionicle styled and constraction MOCs. Like lately I use a lot of small system parts or anything that has the right shape in combination with Bionicle and constraction parts to give my builds more shape and detail and make them less blocky, I also use mixel joints if I want the limbs to be less bulky, etc.
