>>9381246Just about every joint creaked and the right butterfly joint on the arm was flat stuck. The head is a little loose and the toe joint on the feet needed to be fixed up: I took out the plastic pins, shaved off excess plastic that was restricting the joint, and put everything back together. The feet fit fine and I wasn't worried about the joint at all. The spare feet with magnets aren't exactly flush on the ground (and I don't know how to remove the magnets), so I probably won't use them much.
I understand what people mean when they gripe about the wrist joint. It's small and the hands fit extremely tight onto the peg, so swapping hands is a chore. I haven't seen stress marks or anything on... well, any of the plastic. The knee and elbow joints look kinda shit, especially compared to Wolverine.
I put the whole thing in some hot water and that loosened up some joints. I suspect the black wash gummed up things it wasn't supposed to. The stuck butterfly joint remained, and it turns out that it was flat glued in place. I felt brave, so I yanked on it and cut with an x-acto knife and eventually got it out. After filing down the glue on the butterfly, it looks fine. Not great, but acceptable.
This dude can move. I'm really impressed. The plastic quality is pretty great, if I'm being honest. It feels fine and it's more malleable than stiff or brittle. It definitely doesn't feel gummy, and it doesn't feel like a knock off. Some of the gunk (presumably from the black paint wash or a plasticizer from the plastic) washed off in the hot water and it feels much better now. I may try some dish soap and a toothbrush if it bothers me in the future.
