Cost of production does get much higher when you're dealing with limited numbers (maybe as high as 10k) vs companies like NECA making 30-80 thousands.
See also niche lines like Marauder Gun Runner's stuff, HACKS, Acid Rain, etc etc costing nearly double or more than Hasbro 1:18 lines.
