I have painted two spoons base primer grey (so a light grey), and two spoons base black. One of each is sprayed with RAL7021 Panzer Dark Grey which is close to a TS4 German Gray or TS99 IJN gray. The other pair of spoons is sprayed with Gunmetal Metallic equivalent to TS38. All spoons have been matt coated with Vallejo Mecha Matt Varnish which isn't exactly blackboard matte but more in the matt end of a satin finish. In my opinion, the gunmetal on black base is the closest to have glass, but not really that close at all. Looking at Tamiyas offerings, I'm more tempted to say that a TS94 metallic grey is the way to go, but yeah, without me mixing a paint myself I'm not really sure you can get much closer than a TS94. I'm just gonna try and see if mixing the two paints might not yield a far more accurate result. Never mind the fact that for some reason gunmetal sprayed here reacted with the grey primer kek
