The canon Bomonga has actually an awesome mask too, a golden Faxon.
A mix between both of these would probably look the best. A bulked up Metru build, without gorilla arms.
But I digress. Biology is part of Bionicle, literally.

Rahi have very consistent designs too. You can't have a Fikou that looks like a Fikou and then another Fikou using entirely different legs, eyes and body and claim that they are the same species without having undergone any modifications or mutations.
