>>8969533>Amalgamating different MOTU concepts may seem good on paper but a lot of the concepts in the filmation series, mini comics, etc don’t mesh all that well together. The later mini-comics, and then all versions of the New Adventures, were supposed to be a Filmation continuation, which is why you saw things like "King of the Snake Men" dedicating one of its 14 pages to how Rattlor and Tung Lashor were Etherian Hordesmen.
I can tell you from first-hand experience that Mattel disowned the Year 1 and 2 mini-comics while the vintage toys were still in production, because people gave me He-Man and Skeletor ("The Original!"), Man-at-Arms, Teela, Stratos, Beast Man and Mer-Man some time between Christmas of 1985 and the peg-warming of 1987 and I'd never seen or heard of "pre-Filmation" until 2002-3.
Because the 200X cartoon showed the origins of characters that Filmation did not and took place when Teela was 16 rather than 20+, you could just dis-continuity the Snake Men episodes and treat it as a prequel to justify displaying the different exclusive characters together without having to invoke a multiverse.
How to explain cheap and popular pre-Filmation characters like pic related? That's harder, but you could say Year 1 Teela is Teela-Na and it takes place before Miro disappeared, with Jungle He-Man disappearing in a battle where he killed the original Skeletor, which produced the Evil Ghost of Skeletor.
