>>9797148besides not coming with track/electronics, the main reason why it's so much cheaper than other train sets is because it's squeezed down to super-deformed proportions. Each version of the Hogwarts Express that Lego makes has some sort of stupid fuckery holding it back
>4708No tender, uses tireless car wheels for the train wheels, no glass in the windows, has this weird gimmick where there's a spring-loaded treasure chest that you can launch from the boiler?
>4758Virtually identical to 4708 design wise, though the spring loaded gimmick is gone in place of a slide-out hidden compartment to store some magic stuff. Carriage is the same too, though this time they included glass windows.
>10132 The same set as above but with actual train wheels, a motor, and a Tender (took long enough). Hogsmeade Station here is easily the best station included amongst all the sets
>4841 Tender manages to stay from now on and the overall detailing is better here, but the steam engine loses a set of wheels.
>75955As stated before, this one is shrunken down compared to the previous HEs, it feels like someone took the train, put it in photoshop, and squished it down by a third. Despite that setback, at least they get the wheels on the engine to look right for once (although they cheap out on the driving rods).
The biggest setback all of these have is that they all use Red bricks instead of Dark Red bricks like the IRL engine. The first 2 sets I can give some leeway to since Dark Red was brand new back in the early 2000s, but they could easily have made 75955 in Dark Red if they wanted.
>>9797473I just want a Hogwarts Express that actually looks like the damn thing as it appears on screen for once. We can get a new X-Wing every year or two that manages to get the shape, proportions, and details right yet we can't get the same treatment for the most recognizable HP vehicle? If they wanted to they could make Hogsmeade station a separate release.
