Honestly, I didn't find it much hard to work with, no. But I'm very used to work with lycra and everyone hates lycra, says it's a pain and wiggles too much in the machine, so maybe that's why. Feels like minky "forgives" mistakes more because you can always hide a weird stitch under the fluff, do you know?
And I choose the minky that stretches a bit and has about 20% of polyester in its composition. I've worked with completely "non stretchy" minky before and didn't like it
