I'm not sure if you've noticed, but almost every other country that isn't the USA has toys that cost a butthuge load of money. Even toys made by US companies will cost much more than they do here and this is likely because the toy markets in those countries are shit.
The only country that seems to have sane prices (compared to the US) is Japan, but even their shit can have crazy high costs as seen with Figuarts/Figmas/Revoltechs and even kiddy shit like this. Some saner priced toys are blind boxed, so that they can sell more of them before kids/adults get exactly what they want.
Anyway, TRU going down can and will lead to various toy companies going out of business. They make up a large part of sales in the US and even companies like NECA, Mattel and Hasbro will be hit hard.
