>>7862778That would work as well but then the cuts would be visible in most poses and photos, I was trying to find a way for more mobility while showing as little as possible.
>>7863093A gold star is always appreciated. I took pictures when I got the set and learning their faces was the first thing I did. It's silly but I was afraid that after I took their weapons off I might get mixed up and give the wrong guy the wrong thing.
Ahh, I got you. I saw the other swords, I thought you had made a third one. The cloth around the handle and the painting tips apply to your larger wooden creations as well, though. Here's a photo of a sword and nunchaku I painted years ago. The paint has obviously scratched but you can see how I made the edge of the blade more silver to make it look like it was sharpened in the field. Both of those were Dollar Tree toys that were plain plastic before I painted them. Shows you how a little paint and know how can transform "cheap" toys.
>>7863103Just looked up the presidential busts. Those would paint up nicely and are a good scale for 1:12. There's one of Dinosaur footprints, with both of those sets you could make a nice little museum room.
>>7863477Tamiya makes a clear red that dries smooth and glossy. Get some of that and a paintbrush you don't mind ruining or a popsicle stick and shape a nice pool of blood that would be under your figure, let it dry and then you can peel it off of the plastic wrap and you'll have a little rubber-ish clear blood effect to lay under him and it won't stain him or the carpet.
