Anyone have suggestions on where I can get simple (or at least mostly solid red, non-decorative designed) red boots for Ken doll?
I purchased a lot of loose heads, props, full action figures and some which had minor to major bits and pieces taken - so essentially a mostly fodder lot, because it was a good price for the two full figures there and I wanted the spare heads [PICREL is a crop of the lot].
The lot also included the Superman Returns Ken doll OUTFIT only [far bottom right of PICREL], and incomplete at that - as cape and boots are missing; the entire Ken doll can be seen here:
https://vandajensen.files.wordpress.com/2017/01/imgp5132.jpgI know I can buy the fabric and could even dye fabric and can manage to make my own cape. And I even found a new Ken doll, discounted at a local dollar store for $3.99.
I've looked on Amazon and I've looked through Ebay - EB was the best bet, but they are selling red boots for high end (e.g. Mafex type) Superman figures so they are asking for $25-$30 just for two boots, which is absurd when I see that a pack of Barbie shoes goes for 20% of that NEW.
I have no rush to do anything with this and never thought I'd want a Ken doll but I figure this fell in my lap, I might as well do something with it - if it doesn't cost me an arm and a leg.
And construction suggestions or thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
I have a background in graphic design so I'm good - to an extent - at some craft stuff, and I can do my own mending but we're talking needle and thread stuff, like fixing a hole, or a loose button, etc.
