I have a small headcannon to tie Slizers, roboriders and... drome racers together.
Drome is very similar to slizer's world. Same pizza-slice regional design, same central hub. I like to think that with time the technology advances, competitions on the drome becomes more and more obscure (maybe the drome itself gain independence as it's own country). Enough time in the future and the technology let the drome area be converted into a round planetoid. Citizens become cyborgs (depicted on roboriders wheels). Some time after the drome planet has left the Earth Roboriders crisis happens (Drome citizens still stuck to their roots in racing and build robo-motorcycles to zoom around). With virus crisis averted, the citizens of the Drome planet created new forms of competition: gladiator battles with throwing disks. 8 Champions has risen upon everyone else: Slizers, champions of their regions.
And then the meteorite happens and rest of the story I've mentioned previously.
