Anyway, I caved and bought the ZAMAC Jaguar on ebay. I still highly recommend any version of this casting you can get your hands on. I was doing some reading, and the real V12 coupe this was based on was a touring racer build by Broadspeed Engineering in England. They were late and joined the '76 season after it was already half over, but the car proved to be very formidable. Unfortunately, the rushed production resulted in some unfortunate oversights, including a problematic driveshaft, and the engine cranked so hard it was starving itself of oil. When the car was running, it was setting records, but sadly it struggled to finish most races. They tried to make fixes, but ultimately dropped out before finishing a whole season.
I love when castings pop up that are based on historically significant cars. It's always fun to learn something.
