Doing very rough measurements, with the sizes on 1999 as a reference, the biggest spring-looking thingies are about 1.80 cm long and the biggest piston-like thing is about 2.10 cm long; together I believe they'd make a decent lenght for shins.
So, I thought of building pic related. I-it's gonna be great.
I'm still considering the frame arms' arms, heh; the only thing holding me back from going straight into them is that they are too blocky.
