There have been a number of 3rd party foot replacements that are not comically large that manage to balance the figure just fine. My Buck has no problem standing compared to my Rexy. Even Mattel realized they were screwing up with the feet and advertised that the Buck in their failed crowdfund had smaller feet.
The issue is not the size of the figure, the issue is the weight. David makes his figures like Neca or Hiya which means they are considerably heavier than a similarly sized Mattel of Monsterarts figure. Until David makes the therapods significantly less front heavy the large therapods will always have the problem of falling over or falling forward
