>>7982742Yep it is an actual dollhouse that I bought from an antique store. If you're looking for your own dollhouse, be sure to keep in mind that thing takes up a good amount of space.
It is always possible to just print out some appropriate patterns and turn a bookshelf into a 'dollhouse' room. An actual dollhouse is something that would need it's own dedicated permanent place since it's so big you can't just hide it and moving it with all the things inside of it would be a not impossible but very inconvenient to do over and over again.
Still if you like the idea of being able to have all of your stuff on display for pictures or showing to others in meat space even, with all of those other things considered, go for it.
As for accessories, I very rarely will find anything really good in thrifting but the possibility is always there. One way I like to look at it is:
Thrift Stores might have something from an old toy set that I can use for play with my figures. Like maybe a McFarlane Warthog. Or even another random item that can be used as an accessory.
An actual antique store might have actual dollhouse furniture or actual miniature accessories of great quality which can be used for dioramas and photography if I get lucky. But might not be exactly cheap.
In the case of the latter, you will usually find nicer miniature accessories locked up behind glass, making it straightforward as to where to look.
In any case. Know where to look and have an open mind, as well as either one of your figures on hand or just being very aware of what size of things will look good with them.
