The function/gearbox would make or break or this as it runs against system math which is paired numbers instead of odd ones (technic math)
20$ for Tahu won't fly and if the torso is larger than 5-wide that 20$ is likely met
4-Wide is almost out of the question cause the mixel system would be one used at that scale and it just can't handle something like a gearbox without a multitude of new molds.
No way you put it, it'll require leeway from Lego to allow some crucial integral parts that make the torso and not just the absolute requirements for aesthetics(those being limb coverings, weapon or few, head and masks, maybe chestplate and base for feet) along with some very smart design.
The new ninjago mechs gave us good ratchet joint for waist articulation(picture) but nothing else, unless the big armor covering counts, there are some holes to fill left still, maybe the re-done spiderman figure or some larger mechs will have new molds that help to complete the puzzle before prime time, otherwise what's needed is the amount of molds G2 launched with and that could be too big of an ask.
