I have two Detolfs and various figures all over my apt. By next year though I'm either going to have to purchase a third Detolf or figure something out. If I get a pet I would need to relocate my Metal Gear display (which will probably have happen once Sally arrives anyways.) One Detolf is strictly vidya, the other detolf is mixed media. Then I have a display shelf for amiibo and blind box stuff and I use my book case for miscellaneous figures and statues. As for boxes I rarely keep them unless I like the box or if I know a figure is not going to be a permanent fixture on display. I have a KALLAX between my Detolfs which hosts the few boxes I keep with some workout equipment I use in my living room. Yes I know the red is very bright thanks to the artificial lighting I used for this shoot.
