If it's weird, different, and generally not very popular they are fighting 24/7 to see more of it on shelves even if it doesn't sell.
Feminists fight to make Barbie curvy, and thick aka FAT like them. They fought to reduce her bust size, and make her waist line wider in the late 90s, and won. They fight to cover the dolls up in wacky , and tacky Disney channel star clown outfits which in their eyes makes them more "appropriate."
