>>9399422I bought Katara. I got the Diamond Select Katara when I first saw her at Walgreens, not knowing we'd end up with 4 different Avatar lines, so I'm just going to buy each Katara, and decide which line to focus one based on that. (Or whichever lasts long enough)
Articulation is ok.
Hinge and swivel shoulders, elbows, and knees.
Ball hinge head, where she can tuck her chin in to her neck, but she can't look up.
Swivel waist.
Ball jointed hips; she can do full splits even with the skirt flaps.
No wrists or ankles at all.
The sculpt is great. Her outer robe, light blue shirt, undershirt, pants, and floofy trim are all have different textures to them.
Her braid and hair loopies are soft plastic so they won't snap off or get in the way of head movement.
Her face sculpt looks on model, and a leagues better than Diamond's.
The paint is fair. There's some slop around the wrists, some under painted spots on the floof. Note that mine actually has a paint error; she's meant to have her mouth sculpt painted with a black highlight. Personally, I found that the error without the black line looked better.
Accessories is just a semitransparent blue water effect. It's fine.
Major down sides is that her feet are sculpted in a way that they have detailed heels and arches to them and no peg holes, instead of being flat. So unless you're having her stand straight, balancing can get tricky without any ankle joints.
The other thing being the shape of the elbow joints means when you bend her elbows up, they leave white stress marks on her forearms.
All in all, a bit disappointing here and there, but in this day and age, any toy you can just waltz into a walmart and get for $10 that isn't total ass or some cheap blind box is a godsend. $60 and you get 4 characters + a giant beast/vehicle!
