I had tons of electronic figures but none never ingrained their audio in my memory to the degree of this little guy. Guess they never bothered recording new audio for these guys and just straight up repackaged them, japanese audio and all.
Eleven year old me and my little sister were thoroughly confused as to what the heck our squirtle was saying, never occurred to us that the thing had a different name in Japan. Us trying to solve the mystery of how to 'fix' the broken squirtle is probably why out of all the far more fun and enjoyable toys I had, this one's voice has ingrained itself more permamently.
