Of all the Batman gimmick variant figures this is the only one that actually showed up in the TV show. I'm guessing that early on there was probably some effort going on to have some kind of synergy between the toyline and the cartoon, but eventually the showrunners put their foot down and Kenner just went and did their own thing. Either that, or it was just a coincidence that Batman in his jetpack gear in that episode happened to be very toyetic.
