>>6099052>I've been considering getting a Dog Alien because I hear it's one of the best Xenos out there, but I'd hate for that to snap somewhere too.I can vouch for the Dog Alien. I own a lot of Aliens/Preds and it's probably one of the most sturdy Alien figures I've bought, if not the most sturdy.
Unlike the Series 1-2 Xenos (I own two) later Xenos like the Dog Alien use softer plastic so they're less brittle while also having a bit more give to them. Beyond this, it also helps that the Dog Alien has a pretty lithe/skinny sculpt, so its weight is more centralized at the core which makes the joints at the base of its limbs less likely to loosen over time.
Contrast that with the AVP Xenos which, while being made of the same durable material, have heavier limbs thus are more likely to have loose hips over time. Admittedly, they're still the 2nd best NECA Xenos just behind the Dog Alien.
