This has already been argued multiple times before but vehicles that actually look human and familiar are generally much more appealing than generic futuristic "Cybertronian" garbage. There's a reason why the original Diaclone car robots were so fascinating and revolutionary in the first place, because they actually looked like accurate real-life automobiles instead of just making up their own weird vehicles like just about almost every other "transformable-robot-core" toyline at the time in Japan.
