I remember reading some vague insinuation once that a lot of the niche Ganso SD gundam kits and the like were produced in Chinese factories; and the molds aren't in bandai's possession, making reprints difficult. Could be nonsense, but it's the closest I've ever come to a satisfying reason why I'll never have a Spark Gundam.
