Like on their bruticus it's more like the legs are just stumps with little nubs representing toes on them, the Defensor looks more like it has ankles and an actual separate foot.
I'm still running with my theory that the feet are actually a part of Hotspot though, at least in that design. They look too big to be a part of either Streetwise or Groove and they don't seem like they can split at all the same way they do for Swindle or Brawl. If anything it almost seems like they're made to collapse into themselves to become smaller, and probably work as Hotspot's feet in his robot mode that way. Like I would imagine that Hotspot's combiner configuration will form a frame for the leg guys to fit and lock into with his feet at the end pulling double duty as the combiner feet.
That or it's just a mockup that hasn't figured out how the feet will work just yet. Either way, god I'd like a good Defensor.
