>>10277151He's not that far off. They have character lore and personality traits that the streamers lean into, make appearances in various videogames, and have their own official animations. You could hypothetically get to know the characters from the official animations without ever watching a stream. Not to mention the various skits and concerts. They're just performers with anime designs, so I don't know why it seems so unthinkable that they'd be suitable for the figma line. Especially considering figma has never shied away from celebrity releases like Billy Herrington, Kamui Kobayashi, Egashira, Masahiro Chono, etc.
Also people are getting pretty dramatic about the amount of vtubers. Kizuna Ai was figma 411 in 2019. We're on figma 595 in the main line alone, with a total of only 7 vtuber releases/preorders in that period and 6 more announced.
