A LEGO car was not a 1:1 scale copy of a car, it was an approximation in toy form that retrained the essential components of the original item and was recognizable but at the same time it was clearly a toy, something made strictly for a child's enjoyment.
There's something magical in that underlying philosophy that I feel has been lost.
