There's also cost and weight issues to consider.. the biggest figures we've seen are something like weaponeers and roboforce and they are designed carefully.. but as you or I or anyone has seen, after a certain size glyos joints tend to not be able to support the weight depending on how they're oriented. So a 6 inch figure might be fine on its own, but what if you try and build him a fun arm and it can't even be lifted?
Personally I think you can already do plenty of 6 inch scale stuff with what's available, Alexis Dyer and Maxepadd do a good amount of stuff in this scale.
