These three toys, as pictured, are all within one gram of each other.
Prime is the heaviest, and Megatron the lightest.
It does show how things certainly did get less dense over time I have to admit I'm being a bit disingenuous by leaving out Megatron's shark spear which is 20g (or the weight of a Core class toy) all by itself.

Is your hang up that Armada Prime is different from G1? Why would he be the same?
