The intros designs are the most on model, based on the actual designs of the cartoons.
I think it's funny how on one of the model sheets they tell the animators/storyboard artists to avoid making their cheeks too cartoony and now they're just like that, but i guess everyone doing promo art didn't have the sheet models to help them, except for NECA apparently.
Also, you should watch the miniseries again, because they were pretty "dark" in that.
