These weird little add ons are the problem with the new Star Wars. They're clearly trying to imitate what made the Lucas SW so good and it feels like they're bootlegs because of it. Its downright generic looking.
As i said, their stuff looks more functional, versus adding a visor to an already enclosed head. Whereas the Blockade trooper's helmet is actually based on a real thing.
Again, it's more natural than try hard designs for the sake of trying really really really hard to get dat cash moneys from nerds.
And really, you're trying to push my like for the older stuff as nostalgia, despite the fact that I was already an adult with the prequels? And the fact that it's heavily hated? Of course, almost everyone who hates it can admit that the designs, style, etc are great.
