>>8047592I'd say otherwise. Gimmicks were just as much a part of the "Jurassic" feel as anything else. Dino Damage, the snap jaw raptor, Thrasher T. rex, the Stegosaurus from TLW toyline that had the swinging tail; all of these were gimmicky toys. Even capture gear could be considered a gimmick.
Mattel has been rather lazy this past year, but overall, what we have seen over their two years with the licence trumps what Hasbro did for both JP3 and JW, and feels more line with what the Kenner toylines were about.
tl;dr It could be worse, Anon. Much worse.
