Thunder Megazord is pretty great in it's own right. At least if you get the V2 in which Bandai fixed the issues. I wasn't expecting to like it because I always thought the original was a terrible toy, but it's a really nice improvement.

Is that photo supposed to show they aren't? They're about the same width as the thighs like the legacy. I hate how fat the legs are on the nip versions, but like you said it's a subjective matter.
I see more of the show suit in the legacy because of the slimmer torso and legs, and larger looking head as a result. Also longer thighs. I'm happy with it for the time being, though I'd love for Bandai to do a 2.0 and give it the proper legacy treatment.

And? That's what I saw in the show, so that's what the Megazord is supposed to look like to me. I love the Legacy Tigerzord because it actually looks like the show. Thunder is also much closer to the show, though I wish it was shorter. These things can be made to be functional and also resemble their on-screen counterparts

the legacy version is smaller. it also had a problem with leaning forward due to a flimsy connection on the legs that was so bad bandai america had to send out a parts fix to anyone who asked. they fixed it in a v2 release.

Masterpiece Transformers are able to make the bot modes look like the cartoon despite the toon taking huge liberties. It can be done. The reason shit like the OG Megazord looks off model is because the toys are made first, and turning a toy into a usable suit doesn't always translate well. Since Bandai America's legacy line is made after the fact they're able to get much closer to the show suits than the original toys.

I'd say the Thunder Megazord V2 is an improvement. The original 90's version was a flimsy mess that wasn't any fun to play with. I can't speak for the V1 Legacy, but the V2 seems more sturdy than the original toy, and it has added articulation at the head and wrists. I wish it didn't have die cast because I worry about the weight causing problems down the road, but after they addressed the lean issue the overall design is pretty decent.
