>>6999541>>6999563speaking of rebels, the budget for that show was PATHETIC. They couldn't even render Sundari Mandalore in the opener of s4 so they had to write their action sequence to take place in a starship hangar right next to it. I mean I'm sure they did the best they could with the money they had (disney money? hello?) but jesus christ you could smell the bullshit excuses from miles away sometimes. I'm still not sure what to think of the show. It's entertaining and funny (even suspensful) enough once it gets going, but also very shallow with lots of filler. Any attempt at gravitas often gets lost in translation thanks to the cartoony vibe and because of this it definitely doesn't win over any EU fans familar with stories from that period. If you look at it in a vacuum or maybe as a tcw-only fan, I guess it's a fun enough distraction. The most fun I had with it was really during the second half of season 2 and 3 and the entirety of season 4. Really wasn't a fan of the old clone troopers getting fat and I fucking despised the tcw nostalgia episode with the B1s. Sabine was utterly unconvincing too. I'm supposed to believe a teenage girl graffiti artist is also an expert weapons scientist that built an arc projector that destroys beskar'gam? lol. Yeah right. Pic related was unironically a funny character though.
