>>7199720I'd like to see actual Vikings, and not operatic horns on helmet Vikings fighting the Midgard serpent, as awesome as that is. The real life Vikings travelled to so many places: some were guards in Byzantium, some played a role in the development of Kiev and later contributed to the name "Russia," some travelled across the Atlantic into what's now Canada, some travelled into the Mediterranean, and others ransacked across western Europe. Vikings even settled Iceland and Greenland. So much exploration and cultural exchange is fruitful material, but I doubt LEGO would go so far as to make something like a Lindisfarne 793 set. Even more boats, tho, would be sick. Or a great hall. Even just depicting something as simple as the farming life, which many led. More printed pieces with interlace patterns and runic inscriptions.
>>7199741They've already made some Roman figures in some of the collectible minifigure series, so they could easily revisit those. There was a legion commander, soldier, gladiator, and what looks like a politician. I'd be happy if they even went with something more fantastic, like Amazonians, but that might be iffy given DC and Wonder Woman. Considering Alexander's conquest of Egypt and the later Roman affair there's already a historical 'in' to having elements of Egyptian, Roman, and Hellenistic culture represented under a single theme, tho.
