Can we really say that the single most popular toy in the world that's been a household name for about half a century, even in the years where it was economically struggling, is just a fad that comes and goes like movie franchises or Beanie Babies? Heck, I've never really cared that much about Lego until earlier this year after visiting some MOC exhibits and yet I still had my dose of City, Bionicles and Star Wars sets as a kid. The Danish block formula is pretty much an integral part of most childhoods in America and Europe, It feels weird to say they're a trend as if Legos have just now become a part of pop culture that people enjoy all of a sudden and will simply grow tired of in the near future.
