I was put off at first because I never liked the King Grayskull lore in the first place and hated Revelations, but the more I look at him as just a toy design and ignore associated bullshit, he's pretty good looking.I think the use of fur and the pale color used for it on a dark body help the design pop as part of a "savage" Eternia. Like he's from the tropics and skinned himself a lion.
I think the fur color on blond KG was the same as He-Man, making him more forgetable.
