>>10446577You can! I think the promo shots do that because that's how the old MSV artwork for had it configured. It lets you slant one side really diagonally so the funnels don't bump at the top. You can set them up pretty much however you want. For a secure connection, there's a couple clips that will attach two funnels together at the yellow thrusters. Each funnel also has a couple tabs you can pull out on one side, and a small slot to receive a tab on the other. It felt like a bit of a puzzle flipping my funnels around and folding them the proper way to attach to get it how you mentioned, but it can be done! Some other small flaws of note if you're considering. The shield attaches a little loosely. The clip can pull out and be pushed in to go around the arm, instead of just pushing over the arm to snap in, I suppose to avoid paint scuffs. It won't just fall out randomly but if you pick the figure up and move the arm around you're likely to knock it off. Also, he swivels on his base a bit. Unlike other MRDs where the peg sort of locks the swivel motion, his doesn't. He's onthere securely but if you pick him up by the base or just by the figure, the other may spin. Overall I'd give the figure a 9/10, there's no major flaws and is my favorite Nu Gundam you can buy.
