Some people just can't let go of the fact that though MFT KOs, they make some brand new figures of their own. In fact they're comprised of multiple groups, Mechanic Studios and now Vecma indeed make brand new molds. Do they look similar? Sure, they're based on the same characters. Otherwise, every sculpted detail is different, there are some points of articulation that are different, weapons are different, etc. It was just like when they revealed their Omega Supreme, people were frantically trying to figure out what figure they KO'ed to make it.
