The Porsche 911 GT3 RS I've been drooling over has a mechanical engine with working pistons and a working, shiftable 4-speed transmission. In comparison, the Corvette only has a camshaft connected to the rear wheels (so the pitons on the hood move as the car does) and a rotating assembly attached to a gear in the rear to steer the car with.
That said, I like cars and Lego, so it's a nice overlap for me. People who only like either are better served with actual models are different sets.
