Anon that asked for a review of the Hobby Boss 1/48 Rafale, this post is for you. Now with 50% less beard hair (or was it a pube? You may never know).
Overall it's a mixed bag. It's like the engineering decisions made to make the lines dividing the parts are very reasonable, but the fit is just not very good. Annoying things like the two canards being a single piece, but impossible not to mount before mounting the very poorly fitting air intakes so there's gonna be some annoying sanding to do. You can also see the blocks that make up parts you change for other variants have much larger seams than parts that go on every variant, eg. the bottom right yellow arrow where the nose gear bay is just not fitting well, or the spine of the aircraft being a sort of half assed fit. I did my best with the parts they just don't fit very well. And as I posted before, the kit wasn't molded properly, that's why I'm stopping at this point to repair the missing bit on the right side of the wing-fuselage assembly point.
I'd say the shape is pretty good at least. The only glaring error I've noticed is the light on the right side of the tailfin boxy-ECM section. Overall I'd say it looks like the Revell offering is better fitting, at least looking at their product pics, but I don't have it. It's not an unsalvageable kit but eh not exactly going together like that Draken did. On the plus side, it has a vast range of armaments and the panel lines are quite deep and noticeable if panel line weathering is your boogaloo, they seem oversized for me especially comparing to the photo but that's not something I'm hysterical about normally
