>>10017741>The original Play Arts were great figures for their time, despite their odd scale, and they still kind of hold up todayYeah I'm currently attempting to get all the original figures, the FFX one (which only consists of three figures, so I guess I got that one completed right away), the FFVIII one (just need Rinoa), and the FFVII one (need Sephiroth, Yuffie, Red XIII & Cait Sith, and Vincent. Haven't even started on the FFXII figures, the FFX-2 figures, the FFIX figures, and the Crisis Core/Advent Children ones. I'll probably save FFIX for last since it is not only the most expensive of the bunch to collect, but also because I'm not a super hardcore FFIX fan. After I get Rinoa, I'll probably get the FFXII figures since I like the game a lot, and because FFXII is one of the less popular FF titles, so their figures really don't sell at that much of a premium online. That being said, it sucks I didn't have the chance to buy these figures when they originally released in the 2000s. Would have loved them and their original MSRP prices were a steal. Oh, well.
>Considering it'd be tough to get a single figure for $100 bucks nowadays, getting all three main characters from X is certainly worth itYeah, this is how I get most of my figures now days, from individual Japanese sellers. Japanese sellers are typically super strict with themselves, and will massively discount any given item they are selling if there's any kind of defect on it. In this case, while all three figures were unopened, in mint condition boxes, Auron has what seems to be a factory error (I assume it is a factory error since the boxes are so pristine and still sealed). His glasses are broken in two, but that's a very easy fix, so I still snagged the set of three figures. I can't imagine paying the insane prices people set on sites like ebay. Auron sold on that site just the other day for $150, just crazy for a figure that was originally like, $30.
