Meant for escorting convoys containing high-ranking EFF personnel or confidential technology/information, the Jegan ECOAS Man Hunter works in conjunction with other ECOAS units to provide defensive support from infantry. Equipped solely with a riot shield and a waist-mounted machine gun, the Jegan Man Hunters used by ECOAS found themselves unpopular with pilots who requested to at least have a beam saber or some sort of anti-MS weapon on standby in case of enemy ambushes. Despite the complaints, the unit was phased out of ECOAS shortly before UC 100 and sent to other EFF deployment zones instead.
