Here's how it works:
>Lewa's weapons use a tan low-friction pin, rather than a blue one, allowing the blades to spin freely around the axis of the pin.>Blade 1 has a higher mass than blade 2, and will therefore have a higher inertia than blade 2 when in motion>As the torso-action accelerates the entire assembly forward, then stops, blade 1's higher inertia carries it forward, causing the entire rig to spin.>this is fucking AWESOME in action. I mean, there are a couple of caveats:
>Caveat the FirstThe Rahkshi-based body doesn't have as much leverage as Lewa's final build will (the shoulders ain't as wide), resulting in less force transferred to the blades
>Caveat the SecondI'm using Lewa/Tahu's backup swords, which are lighter than the Uniters' crystal blades.
This means that there's disparate inertia within the system.
Both of these together mean that it's harder to achieve the "swingaling" feature, but it's still VERY much there.
I fucking love it when Bionicle sets use simple action features like this that utilize elegant kinetics rather than needlessly complicated technic builds just for the sake of "muh tekneek."
