>>9715575I resell vintage plush at times and the best way I've found to wash them in the washing machine is to buy a set of delicate bags off Amazon and wash them inside those on cool/cold water and delicate setting. I use woolite delicate detergent and no fabric softener. I find fabric softener can sometimes leave an oily feeling in the plush and most plush won't need it anyway.
A lot of people suggest washing in a pillow case but I greatly prefer the delicates bags . Drying takes longer in a pillowcase and pillowcases are not as permeable and they can hold dirt in with the plush.
Always dry either hung out on a line or in a dryer still in the bag set on cool.
