Can you imagine the Nintendo Tax?
Also, keep in mind the majority of the quality of products Nintendo sells state-side compared to the few products that are higher quality, (figma and figurearts.) The majority of products are cheap and it shows that Nintendo is seldom ready to shell out a large investment for products to sell. (That aren't videogames of course.) With all of that in mind, the sheer amount they would need to invest in a Lego line of products probably doesn't interest them at all, especially considering they went Megablox anyway.
It would be cool, but I think it's extremely unlikely at this time.
